Am I eligible for accommodation at Cambridge Oaks?

All students who attend University of Houston – Main Campus, UH-D, TSU, and HCC are eligible to apply for accommodation at Cambridge Oaks. This includes research assistants and full-time, part-time, undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Are pets allowed?

Cambridge Oaks is a pet-friendly community. Please refer to our Pet Addendum for specific information regarding pets.

Are priorities given to particular students?

The Village hosts a diverse range of residents from all over the world and across the United States, and we see this as a true strength of our community. To ensure fairness, we don’t give preference to any group over others. Therefore we encourage all applicants to submit the relevant forms as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Are your units furnished?

Our units are unfurnished, however we still provide you with a full sized kitchen with a stove and oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer with an icemaker, and garbage disposal. You can check out our partner Ecologic if you would like to consider renting a student furniture package.

Can I choose my roommates?

If you’d like to share an apartment with a friend, please specify this on your roommate matching form or email with the details of your request. Given our high demand, we can’t guarantee to fulfill all requests, but we’ll definitely try our best to accommodate you. The earlier you and your friend lease, the easier it is for us to assign you to the same apartment. If you know someone who might want to live at the Village, you can refer a friend here!

Can I have a vehicle?

All residents must have a University of Houston or respective parking permit from their University in order to receive a Cambridge Oaks permit. There is ample parking throughout the property. All vehicles will be registered in order to receive a parking permit as a Cambridge Oaks resident.

Can you help me find a roommate?

We do provide a roommate matching service at Cambridge Oaks. Please fill out the roommate matching form and submit it to our offices in order to take advantage of this free service. Once your lease has been completed online, you also have the ability to answer some questions relating to your personality through your resident portal.

Do you provide Internet access?

Wi-Fi is available to residents throughout the entire community. We also provide wired Ethernet ports in the apartments for Internet access.

How close is Cambridge Oaks to the University?

Cambridge Oaks is located on the corner of Cullen and Wheeler on campus at the University of Houston. It takes approximately 10 minutes to walk to the University Center and just 2 minutes to walk to TDECU Stadium on game days! We also have a University shuttle that stops in front of our community that can take you to your classes (outer loop shuttle route).

How long are your lease agreements?

Cambridge Oaks offers Full 12-month leases, Academic 9-month leases, 7-month Spring/Summer leases, and 2-month Summer leases.

What if I have a maintenance request?

As a resident, if you have a maintenance request you can log into your resident portal account at any time to complete a maintenance service request online. This will promptly be directed to our maintenance team for service. If you have a maintenance emergency, please call the office at 713.748.2606 to provide your name, unit number, request, and call back number during business hours. If you have an after hours maintenance emergency, please call 713.203.4472 to report your request for service.
