What's student life like in North Shore?

The Village plays host to a vibrant local student community and is situated close to shops and eateries and is a 20-minute drive to the city of Auckland, you’ll never be short of something to do!

Can two people live in one room?

All rooms are single occupancy only.

Are pets allowed

Pets are not allowed at the Village.

Is there car parking?

There will be some parking spaces available to purchase.

Is smoking allowed?

The Village is smokefree in all areas, AUT is also smokefree.

Is it co-ed?

Yes – the Village is mixed.

When can I Move in?

Arrival dates will be confirmed once you receive your contract.

Is my bond refundable if I am not accepted to AUT?

Yes, fees are refundable (excluding administration fees) as long as you withdraw before the withdrawal date on your contract.

Do I need my own insurance?

Yes – talk to your preferred provider to organise this.

What kind of programmes and events do you have?

Live, Learn, Grow is the program run by Akoranga Student Village (ASV) that supports residents to get the most out of their time studying. Our aim is to support our residents to succeed academically while making lifelong friends and experiencing personal growth.

Is catering available?

Unfortunately, no catering is available but each apartment have fully equipped kitchens.

When can I apply?

Applications are open! Click on the apply now button to get started.

Can I bring my own bed and furniture?

No – all rooms and social spaces are fully furnished, all you need to bring is yourself and your personal items.

What are the payment options?

Payment is fortnightly and made in advance. International Students pay by Semester in Advance.

When will I know if my application is successful?

We will make contact with further info and offers of accommodation in late October.
